When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email after payment of your deposit, or full payment if your holiday is less than 6 weeks away.
Provisional bookings are confirmed with a non returnable deposit of £150 per cottage per week. Payment should be within 7 days of making the provisional booking. If the deposit is not made the booking will be cancelled after this time, with no prior notice. Please contact us if you are having problems making the payment.
Balances are due six weeks prior to arrival date.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Unless otherwise agreed, the cottages are available from 3.30pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure. DURING COVID19 PERIOD THESE ARE CURRENTLY AMENDED TO 6 PM ARRIVAL AND 9 AM DEPARTURE TO ALLOW FOR THE EXTRA LAYER OF DISINFECTION THAT HAS TO BE DONE
PETS Max 2 well behaved dogs (over 12 months old) per cottage are allowed by prior arrangement on booking form for charge of £30. Dogs must never be left alone in the cottage (unless happily confined in their own crate) and must not be allowed in bedrooms or on sofas. They must be under good control at all times when outside and droppings must be removed immediately. Please respect the feelings of other guests who may be uncomfortable around dogs. Failure to observe these requirements may result in the holiday being terminated.
GUEST NUMBERS The number of people occupying a cottage must not exceed the number stated without written approval from Chark Farm.
CLEANING, DAMAGE, BREAKAGES The cottages should be left clean and in the same good condition as found. Any breakages should be reported and we reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage.
CANCELLATION BY US In the unlikely event of your cottage being unavailable for reasons beyond our control, e.g. fire damage, we will endeavour to find similar alternative accommodation or give a complete refund. No further liability will be accepted.
CANCELLATION BY YOU If you need to cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks before arrival we will try to re let it and if successful will return your deposit minus a small admin charge and any necessary price reduction. If you cancel within 6 weeks you are liable for the whole amount, but again we will attempt to re let and if successful will return your payment minus a small admin fee and any loss of income. We recommend you to take out holiday cancellation insurance against any unforeseen circumstances.
New bookings taken for arrival from 1st August 20 will now be covered by our flexible policy and if you need to cancel between 60 and 2 days prior to arrival you wlll receive a full refund.
LIABILITY The use of accommodation and amenities including the pets paddock, stable yard, play area and grounds is entirely at the Hirers’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the Hirer or the Hirer’s companions or guests. When visiting the animals, children must be supervised at all times. Please ensure that hands are washed thoroughly after the visit.
DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC THERE WILL BE SOME CHANGES TO RULES ON THE USE OF FACILITIES WHICH WILL BE EXPLAINED CLEARLY ON BOOKING.
